Clean Cooking Solutions’ Quick Market Roll-Out in Tanzania Clean Cooking Innovation Challenge: Call for Applications

Tanzanian employment prospects
In summary, the Tanzanian government, along with the European Union (EU) and the Ministry of Energy, created the CookFund program, which is being carried out by UNCDF and lasts for five years (2021–2026). By increasing the proportion of the population with access to sustainable cooking options, the program seeks to support Tanzania’s commitment to combating climate change. It offers private businesses catalytic grant monies to help them overcome the financial obstacles preventing households from adopting clean cooking solutions more quickly.

The following clean cooking solutions are supported by the program:

LPG
Pressure cookers that run on electricity
Better charcoal briquettes and stoves using bioethanol
Five areas of Tanzania’s mainland are the program’s primary emphasis areas:

Morogoro, Pwani, Dodoma, Mwanza, and Dar es Salaam.

The Request for Applications:
The CookFund Innovations Challenge is open to interested and qualified individuals and businesses from all around Tanzania that are part of the clean cooking value chain. The challenge looks for creative answers in the following fields:
