The global effort to eradicate hunger is spearheaded by Action Against Hunger. Through our proven hunger prevention and treatment initiatives, we reach 24 million people annually, lobby for change, and develop innovative solutions. Our 8,300 committed employees collaborate with communities to address the underlying causes of hunger, such as climate change, conflict, injustice, and emergencies, as a nonprofit organization operating in 50 countries. Our goal is to eradicate hunger for all people, for the greater benefit.
The Action Against Hunger International network includes Action Against Hunger USA. Currently operating as a stand-alone nongovernmental organization, Action Against Hunger USA oversees projects in Tanzania, Kenya, South Sudan, Somalia, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zambia, and Haiti. Action Against Hunger-USA employs about 1,800 people permanently and has programs worth over $100 million.

The organization acknowledges that achieving effective and long-lasting results in nutrition, WASH, and monitoring activities is largely dependent on gender equality.
